Shipping Information
Shipping within New Zealand is FREE. For orders over $50 to Australia, shipping is also FREE. If you spend more than $250 in Australia, we upgrade you to our DHL Express service (2-4 days).
All our international orders come with the option of a NZ Post Economy Tracked service (if under $250) or a DHL Express service. The price of our DHL Express service varies - see costs below.
We use DHL's GoGreen Plus service as part of our commitment in aiming towards Climate Neutral Shipping. GoGreen Plus is a service that reduces the carbon emissions associated with shipments through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel. This is a premium service that Mountain Jade absorb some of the cost on, to sit with out sustainability goals. We offer a FREE gift message service and for $6.95 you can select our Premium Gift Wrapping service which covers all items in your purchase. Your piece will come with a mini meaning card and artist profile where available. If you are in New Zealand or Australia, you can pay with Afterpay in 4 interest free payments.

Important Update for our valued U.S. Customers 🇺🇸 🙌
New Tariff Changes. From 5 April 2025, the United States has introduced new import tariffs that could affect your order with us. These rules are evolving, and we’ll update this page as the situation develops. We are a small NZ business and are trying our best to understand this ourselves, at short notice, and with ever moving targets. Here’s what you need to know when shopping with us from the USA:
1) Orders Under USD $800 (Pieces labeled as 'New Zealand')
You’re all good! 😃 Orders under USD $800 (approx NZD $1,340*) and carved from New Zealand stone still qualify for simplified (informal) clearance and don’t require any additional documentation. This is the vast majority of items listed on our website.
2) Orders Over USD $800
DHL has temporarily paused shipments over this value, therefore you must keep your order under this value, for us to be able to ship it on this service. If your order is over USD $800, we will ship it on the NZ Post International Courier Service and it will be subject to Formal Entry rules, on arrival. Any duties or fees on this order are payable by the customer and will not be covered by Mountain Jade. Should the parcel be returned due to non-payment of duties, we will deduct our incurred costs and a handling fee from your refund. Please keep informed on up-to-date information before purchase.
3) Pieces which are NOT labeled as 'New Zealand'
Some pieces on our website (those items not labeled 'New Zealand'), while designed and finished here in NZ, are carved from stone sourced overseas and in some cases may have a country of origin classified as China. These pieces, while often lower in value, may still incur significantly higher U.S. import duties. When ordering these items, you will be subject to the duties imposed.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We are depending on courier networks to get your item to you. Our NZ Post Economy Tracked (Non-signature) service means your item will be left. If you want the security of signing for your item, please select DHL Express. We are not responsible for items marked as delivered on the Air Satchel Service, which might go missing.
TAX & DUTIES: For overseas orders, any tax or duty charges upon arrival are determined by each country’s customs agency and are out of our control. We do not cover these costs. If you order on a DHL Express Service, and your order is returned to us after refusing to pay duties (or not collecting from the customs agency) we will refund you - once the item has been received by us in the same condition - less $50 for the cost of having the item returned to us, by DHL. Mountain Jade are not UK VAT registered as we do not meet the relevant thresholds - this means your item is subject to duty on arrival.
OVERSEAS RETURNS GREATER THAN $1000: When an order of a value greater than NZD $1000 is returned to us, we are charged an Import Entry Fee of $55.71 by New Zealand Customs. Be mindful that we pass this fee onto yourself as part of the refund process.
LIMITED SERVICES: We do not ship to Ascension Island, Bulgaria, Chatham Islands (NZ), Cuba, Gauteng (South Africa), Guernsey, Iran, Ladakh (India), Latvia, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, North Korea, Réunion, Russia, Syria, Tristan da Cunha. We offer no "NZ Post Economy Tracked" service to Greece, Romania, Vietnam and United Arab Emirates as New Zealand Post does not offer this service into these regions. We offer no "DHL" service to Belarus, Israel or Ukraine as they offer us no rates to these locations. Country restrictions are purely based on our ability to get the item to you.
