The Hei Tiki design is one that transcends generations and is so steeped in history its origins are debated. Associated with fertility or of guardianship this deeply traditional design is one of the earliest adornments worn and cherished by Māori and it is one that is still embraced to this day.
This Hei Tiki lies horizontally and is carved from a beautiful piece of dark green Kawakawa Pounamu. It has been handcrafted in Rotorua, New Zealand.
